Welcome to enjoy the authentic seaside town of Kokkola.
Day 1
On the day of arrival, we take a day trip to the magnificent lighthouse island of Tankar. M/S Jenny transports us from the Meripuisto park to the island of Tankar, which is one of Kokkola’s most popular tourist destinations. After the boat trip, a tasty salmon soup meal with coffee and dessert is served at Café Tankar.
After lunch, we have a guided tour of the island, including a visit to the Tankar church and the seal hunting museum. In the afternoon, we return to the mainland with M/S Jenny. Accommodation in hotel in centrum. We finish off the day with a seaside dinner at Finland’s fourth oldest yacht club, Mustakari.
Day 2
The day begins with a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel. After the breakfast we will visit Toivonen Animal Park and Museum Village. We will enjoy our lunch in Restaurant Kokkolinna or in Restaurant Villa Elba. After lunch, we have a sightseeing tour of Kokkola with visits to the Old Wooden Town of Kokkola known as Neristan and to the K.H.Renlund Museum. Afternoon coffee with waffles is served at the Waffle Café, located in the idyllic Museum Quarter. There you can also buy souvenirs made by local artisans.
